Trade Missions

NAMIBIA

The Namibian Embassy in Washington D.C organized a Trade Mission to Namibia from 20-24 May 2019. The Trade Mission is multi-sectoral and open to all companies, with a focus on promoting business and investment opportunities.

Ambassador Lisa Johnson welcomed the trade delegation led by H.E. Monica Nashandi, Namibian Ambassador to the United States.  Ambassador Johnson highlighted Namibia’s stability, security, and good governance; summarized economic and social conditions; and detailed a number of sectors where foreign investment could help Namibia meet its economic development goals and promote prosperity in both Namibia and the United States.  The delegation spent the week meeting key contacts in government and the private sector across a range of interests.

The Ministry of Industrialization, Trade & SME Development held a Business Seminar for the Trade Mission. The business delegation also paid a courtesy call on President Geingob.
